Capt. Quint!!

Jaws was recently on TV, and I saw Capt. Quint, which I hadn't seen in awhile. So I thought I would do a painting of the awesomeness that is Capt. Quint (Robert Shaw). Done in Painter X with some custom brushes.

Cameron's Day off with Seurat

Hi Guys, this was done after recently watching the 80's classic, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". I was inspired by the character of Cameron Frye and wanted to make a painting based off of him. Done in Painter X. I hope you like, let me know what you think. Have a good day everyone.

Freya

closeup/reversed

Hello everyone, this is a portrait of our dog Freya. Done in Painter X. I have now painted all the animals in our house :D

Karen and Jim

Hi Guys, its been awhile, but here is my latest portrait work. Took some beating to get it somewhat to the level I wanted. Karen and Jim are my new Parents in-law and I thought I would do a somewhat more classical portrait. Done in Photoshop. Comments are welcome.

Margaret

Hi, this is a portrait of someone very special to me. Done in Painter X with oils took about 3 days. Comments & Critiques are welcome.

Crazy Eye

Digital Oil

I wanted to do a self-portrait with some kind of crazy face, so I came up with this. I was trying to go for a certain expression, but I don't think I pulled it off. C&C are more than welcome.

Hmm...

Digital Oil/Chalk/Pen

Hi Guys I have been working on this for a while off and on.

I wanted to experiment with a few things, as far as, texture and color and lighting. I am not really happy with some parts of it, but I feel I need to move on, and I know I will just keep on trying to fix things. Thanks for looking.

Self-Portraits

Oil painting 9x12

Acrylic painting 9x12

Acrylic painting 9x12

Acrylic painting 24x24

These are some of my recent self-portraits. They are mostly experiments in color, with the first one being more of an exploration of the "Bistre" or wipe-out technique. I will be posting some more of my animation work very soon. Thanks for visiting

Valentine's Day

"Wedding Day" Digital mixed media

It's that time of the year again, where we become retail chain lovebots and give flowers and boxes of chocolate. It's a pretty silly made up holiday. Nonetheless, you can't help but look at people around you who have love. This is a very fast painting of two of my friends in the romantic impressionist style :) Let me know what you think.

Tribute

"Andy" Digital oil paint 600x800

This is a portrait of a friend of mine. I thought I would practice a portrait before the start of school. He was looking quite dashing and I thought his picture would translate to paint well.
