I thought with our current weather, it would be nice to do a snowy scene . I found this red door that was abandoned next to a wood pile. Practice in texture and speed.

This is a portrait of a friend of mine. I thought I would practice a portrait before the start of school. He was looking quite dashing and I thought his picture would translate to paint well.

Speed Paint

I broke my 1 hour limit on this "speed" paint and did it in 3 hours, but I will try to go back down to 1 hour. I enjoy the blue light on the speaker controller and so I chose it as my focus for this painting.

I am starting on a number of speed paintings in order to quicken my workflow and to practice a lot more during my break. Hope you enjoy, took me less than 1 hour using real bristles in Corel Painter X.

Boxes...and Boxes

I decided to delete my Thanksgiving post of the orange box so that I could put the collection of box paintings together in one happy family. The quality of the photos is pretty bad and all of them are not finished, but I thought I would post them anyway. I hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Hi Guys, this is kind of a combo post of some of my november and some of my december work. These etchings where done at places that I frequent and I was attracted to their shapes.
